Sustainable Agriculture Demonstration Garden and Farm Tour
Step behind the Main Lodge and meet with our gardener, who will guide you to our rows of organically grown fruits and vegetables and explain the special techniques needed to help these plants thrive in the jungle. You may have already sampled some of our produce at dinner, but feel free to try a fresh carrot or sun-ripened tomato as you pass.
This garden was initiated by Sustainable Harvest International, an NGO which teaches sustainable agriculture techniques to local farmers, as a sit for demonstrations and workshops. If you are lucky enough to staying at the lodge on a workshop day you are welcome to participate. Please see our Community page for more information on SHI’s work.
