We are situated in the heartland of the Maya. The remnants of this once thriving civilization are all around us. We offer trips to excavated ruins and with sufficient notice can arrange permission to visit the site of a rarely visited relatively unexplored ruin first.
Walk up a gentle hill and to the base of Lubaantun Mayan Ruins. A small museum at the entrance details the story of a mysterious Crystal Skull which was found here in 1926. The skull is said to show no tooled markings and is composed of pure crystallized quartz. While the skull is longer at this site, there is still a landscape of interesting structures to explore. The ruins at this site are largely intact, despite being assembled of only cut stone with no mortar.
